Car stalls on 2000 vw jetta 2.0

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently ran out of gas filled it back up with 3
gallons then it started. Then went and filled it up
mote than half. Now it stalls out after a certain
period of time. Fuel pump seems to run. It keeps
starting back.up but will still die. Check engine
light is on. Code says something about a speed
semsor that hooks to the transmission. Could that
even be right. Or did I get dirty fuel or clog the fuel
filter? Or what else can I do.
