Key won't turn when trying to lock rear hatch

Asked by AidenCharette Feb 15, 2021 at 12:53 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Golf GL 2.0

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The key will not turn to lock the hatch on my 2003 VW Golf. It will go all the way
in but not turn, it may just be stuck or something could be jamming it. The key is
not damaged, it can unlock the front doors just fine.

Try spraying graphite lubricant or WD-40 into the lock cylinder and check the lock cylinder for any debris that may be stuck in it.
