Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I just replaced my 03 Z4 airbag control module. It got
wet and was making my car do crazy things like no dash
lights.  blinkers not working on dash but working on the
out side. Do you think when I take it to get it programed to
my car it will fix my problems?

My car did get rained in for like 5 min but drove it for about 3 months till I started having problems so I started reading on google about the Z4 getting rained in everybody said srs airbag control module. So I pulled up a diagram found the location pulled it out the male prongs on the module were corroded and broke off in the female plug. Idk it runs and drives fine but when you cut the car off the ding ding won’t cut off and the headlights stay on and it will run the battery down.

for you cummins 189 i had the same problem , that the ding ding wont cut off and will drain the battery , as a temporary fix , i just pulled the number 24 fuse from the fuse box , the noise stops as soon as you take out the fuse, i been trying to fix the issue but no success yet. mine got wet when i left the top down and it started raining for a bit

I had a mechanic disconnect the airbag control double connection to the K bus (located behind the glove box) and the car works normal, just no airbags. Just need to figure out which of the two air bag control modules it is.
