How do I get my 2003 BMW Z4 coolant lines to push hot water to the heater core?

Asked by William Nov 10, 2019 at 02:33 PM about the 2003 BMW Z4 2.5i Roadster RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Heater core lines remain cold after engine warmup. Radiator is full. I bought the car used, so I'm not sure of any prior coolant work.

There may be a valve in the hose that's not opening , or an air pocket in the system , or no circulation from a worn pump .

I believe the pump is working fine, no cooling issues. I took both lines loose and no water coming out with the car running. I am trying to determine if there is a valve of some sort from the engine side, but cannot find any reference online.
