Can my car be saved?

Asked by Mar 22, 2017 at 10:50 PM about the 1989 Toyota Camry LE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1989 Toyota V6 LE Camry has an oil leak problem.  The repair shop could not
fix it.  Before I took it in, the oil dripped.  After the repair shop serviced it, the oil
just flows out.

I'd take it back to the service facility. A drip is different from a major leak. Sounds like the oil drain plug hole or the oil filter adapter threads are stripped. It can be repaired. HTH. -Jim

Imo...you need a second opinion on this oil leak. Can you perhaps take a photo of the oil leak area and post it.?
