Is it actually necessary to change rotors on the front if the rotors are not scored or damaged?

Asked by aardvarkian May 01, 2019 at 04:19 PM about the 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 320

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Mercedes E320 that is need of front brakes.  I have been told by most mechanics that the rotors should be replaced as well as the pads.  Is this really needed?  Or is it a money-maker for the shop?
