Flasher plug clicks with switch in center position with no bulbs flashing.

Asked by Hef Mar 30, 2007 at 09:55 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The flasher plug clicks on & off when ignition key is turned on with the turn signal switch in the center position and none of the bulbs flash.

All of the bulbs flash correctly when the turn signals are used.

I have already replaced the flasher plug.

I down loaded the schematics and it appears that a load with a similar resistance to groung is being applied to the purple wire # 1697 somewhere between the output terminal C1 of the flasher plug and A5 of the turn signal switch.

How do I procede from here ?

Hi Hef! I gotta believe from what you tell me that the turn signal switch itself is the problem. Try to get the integrity of that component verified. Good luck!

Where is the fuel filter on a 2000 Chevy Blazer 2Dr LS 4WD?
