2004 Dodge Ram 2500 common rail

Asked by Gavin Nov 24, 2020 at 07:34 AM about the 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when I bought the truck they said it just need the speed
sensor fixed so I was like thats easy enough. I instently
changed the speed sensor that is located on the
transmission. But it didn't fix the problem. Is there another
speed sensor that I dont know about? If heard there's one
in the throttle somewhere?? And I'm  thinking the next one
I'm gonna change is technically the ABS sensor in the rear
differential. But I'm stump otherwise. Any help would be
great thanks.

we need to know what the problem is before we can recommend a repair. what is the truck doing that it needs a speed sensor?

The speedometer doesn't work and the odometer doesn't ethier. The speed sensor is starting to take out the throttle position sensor as well as doing ruff gear shifts.
