Asked by Guru5VBKL Jan 05, 2018 at 03:44 PM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: General

So I have a 2003 dodge 2500 Cummins 5.9l an I
was thinking of putting a fass lift pump on an I was
wondering if their is anything like getting to big a
lift pump? Like is a 220 g lift pump gonna be to
big?

I am not a diesel expert but you do not need a lift pump that provides a higher flow than your engine build. If you have a 1,000 hp engine you need a lot of flow, installing a high capacity lift pump will not add power unless you have insufficient fuel flow.
