Steam from engine
I have steam coming from breather tube on front
of engine. Coming out of bottle that collects oil
It is called blow by. Due to worn piston rings or the pcv system needs to be checked, pcv valve, hose, and the breather may be plugged.
If it really is steam then you have an internal engine problem, check the engine oil color, if it is milky then it is possibly a blown headgasket or a busted head. Another thing to check especially if it is a 4.7 is the PCV system, make sure it is operating properly. If you only notice this after then engine has been shut down and you remove the oil fill cap and see some fumes coming out, that's normal every engine will make some blow by fumes that will hang around for a minute or two after shut down.
Change your oil, who serviced it last, did it just serviced recently?
