Oil pressure failure 5.7 hemi 2006

Asked by Guru9P21S6 Jul 05, 2022 at 10:03 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It’s runs for about 10 min then start loose oil pressure, same symptoms each
time and “noisy engine”

I’ve changed the oil pressure sensor, flushed the engine with diesel etc,
removed the pan and cleaned the pump pipe and filter.

Still same problem..

New oil and filter each time I’ve change something.

Is it just the oilpump left to change or any ideas?

Two problems possible, one is a bad oil pump assembly, the other is worn engine bearings, or even both the oil pump causing bearing wear due to low oil pressure.
