Is it the starter or switch/relay

Asked by Whatthehell1973 Mar 23, 2020 at 01:13 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT 4WD

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 4wd automatic! Starter
seems to stick but when I put jumper cables on it
cranks over so not sure if it’s the starter or a relay or
switch!? Opinion please?

you can load test your battery , get a multi tester on it you should have 12+ volts , have someone start it and if it drops below 10 volts replace the batt. You can check any electrical connections to see if they are clean and tight

Thank you I will be checking all you have recommended but do you have an idea if battery and all connections check out fine
