Why no power to left signal wire of trailer hookup

Asked by dodgepuller Aug 20, 2018 at 12:15 PM about the 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am not getting power to the left turn wire for my trailer hookup.  Fuse is good
and I have power to fuse.  Brake light doesn't work either on that side.  NOTE:
when I turn on right signal I hear a clicking at the fuse box that I do not hear
when i put on left signal.....all lights on truck work correctly.

Check fuse #46 (15A, Blue) This fuse should operate the "Left Trailer Lamps". It's common for the trailer relays to go bad and are "non-replaceable" The whole fuse box needs to be changed. Like I said, fuse is good and there is power to it. The lack of clicking makes me quite certain that the video you attached the link for is EXACTLY What I will need to do. I will get to it in a couple days as I am busy now. THANK YOU SO MUCH MGM_Mobile_Electronics. I will let you know how it works out.

Thanks MGM Mobile Electronics. Fixed the problem......Had to purchase 7 relays....couldn't find only 3 online. Video is exactly what was needed
