Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 2 wheel drive single cab 5.7 litre Hemi
just replaced the computer and after market Throttle Body and it idles rough,
the RPM go up and down....Old computer was frying coils and truck was
losing power would have to pull over, shut if off and re-start it and it would go
again for a while, this is been going on for over a month and the mechanic
cannot figure it out, we replaced the Trottle Body as it was bad with an
aftermarket one, Dodge dealer told me sometimes the computer will not
accept a aftermarket one...any suggestions???

The idle jumping up and down is your throttle position sensor it running rough when you have to shut it off and restart it will be your lock up solenoid in your transmission
