Asked by Chilly01 Aug 01, 2017 at 08:55 PM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drive a Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 liter Hemi. The Lighting Bolt light on and truck wont respond when pressing the gas pedal. Truck won't go over 10 to 20 mph,. Truck gauges are everywhere, and runs really rough.

Catalyst efficiency low, EVAP issue and random misfire. The lightning bolt is probably the throttle which is why it will not respond to the go pedal.

Thanks, I drove home and trun off my truck and then cranked it right back up and it ran just fine. I drove it around the block with no problems. is that normal?

Intermittent problems are a real pain. Hopefully the problems will not come back but they probably will.
