Oil pressure drops too zero then comes back to normal for a short time, then back to oil pressure changes?
Hopefully it is just a bad oil pressure sender or a loose connection.
Do an oil pressure test with a manual gauge to make sure oil pressure is ok. If it is, check or replace oil sending switch
Yes there are problems with the oil pressure senders and connections, but do you hear any noise like a lifter clatter when it does this? If so then it is for sure the oil pump, if that is indeed the case then get it fixed ASAP or you could loose a good engine. I'm not one to recommend a lot of products unless I have personally used them and in your case if you can't get it fixed right away and it is the oil pump or even if it isn't I would change the oil and filter and add 1 quart of DuraLube and then fill to specs, it's not cure but it can help leave a thin coating of lube during the oil pressure drop outs as long as the pressure comes back, it got me through a bad oil pump on my old Full sized Bronco.
