Can I take out just my engine on a 2000
Plymouth neon standard an replace it with
another 2000  Plymouth neon but it is a
automatic. Does the the standard an
automatic matter on doing the motor

No it would not, long as there the same engine. You may have to swap some parts from one to the other, long as you get the original set-up thats in the car now.
