Where is the auto headlamp sensor located on chevy s10?

DASHBOARD PANEL LIGHTS VERY DIM DURING DAYTIME OPERATION.
WHEN CLOUDY OR DARKNESS ENCOUNTERED EVERYTHING IN PANEL
LIGHTS UP WITH NORMAL BRIGHTNESS. IS THE AUTO HEADLAMP
SENSOR NOT WORKING PROPERLY? WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

Look at the speaker on the top of your dash on the passenger's side. See the little black bubble in the speaker grille? That's the light sensor. Have you tried adjusting the thumb wheel next to the headlight switch? That controls the instrument panel brightness. Hope that helps! Jim

What if the bubble on passenger side speaker broke?? I am having a dash cluster light problem?

Jeff, if the bubble on the speaker grille is broken you need to replace the ambient light sensor. Hope that helps! Jim
