98 s10 no heat! Burr!!

Well I had a bad antifreeze leak from my
intake gaskets and got that replaced a few
days ago. It never over heated on me, I got
it fixed as soon as gage showed it. I
noticed I have no heat, what so ever in the
cab. I re checked my levels and
everything's normal, no over heating
issues. I'm wondering if I have bubbles in
the lines. (Not sure if my mechanic did it
enough) So how do I go about doing that
before I start thinking its a bad water
pump?

Does your vehicle have the cap on the over flow tank where you can add anti freeze ?

Bleed air from system like this. Remove cap from over flow tank fill with anti freeze to full mark on tank leave cap off start vehicle and let idle and reach operating temp anti freeze will start to fill up tank but this is normal once t- stat starts to open anti freeze in tank will drop fill anti freeze back up to full mark then put cap back on. This will remove all the air from the system.
The overflow on an s10 isn't pressurized. If the water pump was bad you would overheat before you had a chance to worry about heat inside. They also don't require bleeding of the system. Either a blend door problem or a clogged heater core. Did you or anybody else try adding stop leak in an attempt to "fix" the leak before you took it to the shop?
