Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have to warm the engine in cold weather to get any movement. I accelerate and RPM's rev up to 5, no movement until 3 or 4 bursts then suv goes to 10 mph. Then another 4 bursts, rpms reach red level on dial and suv moves to 35mph. Won't go past 50 mph. Just happened today.

Hello, It could be that the gas in your tank was near freezing. In cold weather areas, never let your tank get under a quarter of a tank in the winter. Next time you fill your tank, also add some dry gas to it. This will help as well. Bets of luck! CarGrrl
