Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a guy to rebuild my 91 S10 2.5 engine. once he finally got it in he
couldnt get it started. i finally got my truck back and let some else look at it.
its cranking but not starting. so I go to get a oil pressure switch because the
fuel pump was not coming on. the switch i bought for a 97 does not fit in the
block. i looked on the block and it has 87 stamped on it. how is this possible?
Or did he pull a Whammy on me. Please help!!
