2006 Ford Taurus sel automatic

Hello yesterday my car shut off while driving home
I checked transmission fluid and it was full and I
also had checked the gear rode inside car and it
still moves up and down. Car will start up but will
not drive. Gear stick moves to park, nuetrual,
reverse and drive. And I have 6 new sparks plugs in
my car. What could be causing the problem for my
car to not drive?

I've been having to give it gas while getting ready to crank it since August and that was after I had put in the new 6 spark plugs the transmission fluid and transmission stop leak fluid. I'm just not understanding why it will not take off but it'll still cfank
