Air Compressor Issues

Asked by Amber May 16, 2018 at 07:37 PM about the 2006 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Ford Taurus, there is nothing wrong with it. No stalling,
cutting off, running hot ex. (Knock on Wood) However, I have run
across a strange issue with the air that I am not sure how to resolve.
When I am driving and pressing the gas the air runs cold and good.
When I stop at a light or stop sign or just parked in idle the air blows like
its fan air (Not hot but not cold). I am not sure how to fix this B/c when
riding around the city and I have to stop at a light every few seconds it
does not get cool in my car. Please help.

I think your radiator fan is not running. Turn the AC on and look to see if the cooling fan is operating.
