Key stuck In ignition

I have an 02 Chevy Trailblazer LTE my key is stuck in the
ignition with a dead battery though the key was stuck in
the ignition well before the battery was dead I cannot get
it out of the starter even when I jump the car how can I get
it out of the ignition I'm about to be selling it and the
battery is dead again

Our platform needs a strong battery or key will be stuck. Can get it out by putting a paperclip through the hole under the steering wheel column. There will be an actual hole OR an indentation where a hole was supposed to be drilled out. If you had a strong battery prior and key was stuck, could be ignition switch, which is common.

My key was stuck, battery bad, replaced battery, still would do nothing. Had to have a friend, certified mechanic help me. He replaced the ignition. Then he had to replace the ignition security. Now we have to replace the key release mechanism. I have a spare key I stick up the hole to release the key .
