Lights staying on

My dome lights stay on and sometime they will go off and come back on
sometime they come back on hours later

You probably have a bad door ajar switch. These switches are located inside the door in most modern vehicles. The wire harness that passes through the jamb can also go bad, the easiest way to fix those is to just replace it, and a salvage yard is a good place to pick up a used one.
