Brake caliper grinding on my rim

I was driving on the expressway and I heard
something broke off when I exited the expressway
and slowed down the vehicle came to a complete
stop like I pull the emergency brake the caliber
was rubbing against my rim can someone tell me
what can cause that RI Halen

Did you ever find out what happened ? The same exact thing happened to me . My caliper is grinding on my inner rim . I know this because of the sheers of metal around the spokes on my rim and, the groves/sheered off marks around the inner rim.
