Starter turns over after new solenoid

Recently changed the solenoid on
2001 f150. After reinstalled the starter
turns over as soon as I hooked up
battery

The only thing that can cause that is the solenoid, If you installed it correctly the solenoid is defective.

Yup, either the wires are incorrectly installed or the solenoid is bad.
