2001 F150 won't move in drive but will in reverse.

Asked by J Aug 26, 2021 at 08:07 PM about the 2001 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced passenger side head and intake manifold.
So alot of parts were taken out including radiator.
Once everything was finished the truck wouldn't move
forward in drive so added more transmission fluid and
it was fine until the next day. Stopped at traffic light
and truck wouldn't move forward again. Noticed the
transmission dipstick was rotted out, so replaced and
added more fluid but truck still won't move forward
but will in reverse. Any feedback would be great
appreciated. Thanks

I replaced dipstick and checked fluids and everything looks like it's supposed to but truck still won't go forward but will in reverse. Maybe ruined the tranny?
