The fuel tank is located under the bed. You have to drop the fuel tank to access to remove and replace the fuel pump. I read some owners cut an access hatch in the bed to get to the pump. I personally wouldn't do it, you probably won't have to replace the pump again.

Under the bed, so either drop the fuel tank or raise the bed just enough to get the fuel pump out and replaced. I have seen it done both ways but I usually drop the tank.

Supercrew cab. Once you remove bed you still must drop tank. There is some ease of getting to the hanger bolts with bed off but that is a lot of work, and you still have to drop tank.
