I have a chevrolet cavaler and my trak off is on what is that?

I think we are talking about your Traction Control feature which limits wheel spin under slippery road condions. When the speed sensors in the wheels detects wheel spin, it is limits throttle and also applies brakes to the spinning wheel, transferring power to the wheel with more traction. This feature is clicked on and off with a switch. Sometimes it turns off with the key and has to be reset manually. I hope this helps.
