What is the best (most cost effective) way to raise a 91 F150 2-4 inches?

Question type: Car Customization

I want to put 33 or 35 inch tires on my truck and wanted to raise it up enough to clear the wheels. I want to spend the least amount of money and want to know what would work best (Suspension lift vs. body lift, brand names of lift kits, etc.) I am a machinist and can fabricate any spacer or bushing as needed, as long as I have an idea on the dimensions.
