Not really sure but this can be caused by electrical or fuel problem. So basically. If it eleectrical check spark plug wires and spark plugs. If its fuel issue, then check fuel filter, fuel valve.

Could be the ignition module that's attached to the distributor they they will cut out when the engine gets warm and then after it cools down they will restart and run till they get hot again.

Back in the 70's my souped up grand torino has the exact same problem except it took about thirty minutes for it to shut down. It would restart after about fifteen minutes. An old retired mechanic has a simple check. He poured a bottle of water over the "powerback" to cook it down and it immediately started right up. A bold on tix.

i would bet with Troy on this i had one do the same. and bad plug wires can also be hard on that little piece of $70 junk. i also had one of the little hall effect pickup coil on the gear inside the distribtor do the same stuff when it was really hot or working hard. but i think your distributor is newer and doesnt have one.

did u try to replace the alernater and check ur distrubuter and plugs?

Your truck has two temp sensors.. When the two wire sensor fails the ECM default is -31 degrees. The truck will run so rich it wont start after its warm. Pull the codes if the temp sensor is listed that's your problem and remember you need the two wire sensor.
