my1988 f 150 runs for about 10 min. then shuts off as if it is running out of gas,
let it sit for 5 min. and it will start and run about 5 min and shut off again.

Could be an overheating and going bad fuel pump. Use a gauge to test the pressure when it will not start or right after it kills. Specs can be obtained on the net. If fuel pressure holds and it good, you've eliminated one possibility.

It has not ran out of gas but after awhile a cooling down it will start up and run another 10 miles

i have a 92 ford F-150 iam having trouble with the back tank ok it leaked so i had it replaced recently along with side tank but the problem is the the side works fine but the back will work for about i say 20 min then it acts like it starvin for gas shakes the truck then dies but if u catch it b4 it dies like switch to side tank it will comm out of it think it may b just a fuel filter it looks a little wet like getting too much gas iam at a loss suggestions? 1 Answer
