Replacing Heater Core

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My heat only runs while the truck is at high RPMs and does not run on idle. I
am thinking the heater core has some gunk in it.

Local shops charge $100+ for coolant flush. This radiator is only $30. Is it
worth just replacing it entirely. Is this an easy project?

I think you mean Heater Core !!! Some are simple to change and some like mustangs & Thunder birds ( Fox chasse take up to 14 hours labor to change to put in a 30 dollar part) which adds up to more than most 1990 cars are worth !!

Check out the new for videos on replacing the core for your year truck. It may be accessible through the glove box once it is removed.
