Is it normal for this vehicle to roll if not applying brake and or gas, while in reverse?

Asked by Lynnxo Nov 04, 2014 at 05:32 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer LTZ 4WD

Question type: General

I recently purchased a Chevy Trailblazer and when test driving prior to buying never noticed that when the car is on a hill facing downward and, it's in reverse that I must keep my foot on the gas or brakes or it rolls forward.  Is this normal?  I have a jeep and with no gas or brake, it goes nowhere in same situation. The dealer said they didn't notice anything but, tried the drive without me.

Adding to the above.. It does the same thing in Drive when headed upwards.. I know I haven't had another vehicle ever, do this. I would think I ppl. w/sticks can experience this but? It's kinda not feeling very, normal. I wish I can get an answer as to what this could be or if, it's normal for this make & model Thanks.
