My car started itself without the keys

So i went to my truck to grab something out and
the keys are in my pocket when i get out of my
truck i hear my truck make a noise like as if im
putting the keys in to start it and suddenly the
truck starts itself and now i cant turn it off can
someone tell me what just happened?

Do you have remote start? If so maybe the button on the fob was pushed while in your pocket.
