How do I start my truck after the antitheft disables starting it?

Asked by FordXplorer May 19, 2014 at 09:54 AM about the Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck has a keyless entry code and passserbyers love playing with the buttons.  After the code is mistyped a certain number of times the car locks itself in a mode that does not allow me to start the vehicle.  I turn the key and the battery activates, but the engine wont start.  How do I get back in my truck without having to wait the 12 hour period for it to reset?

Sorry. We can't (and won't) publicly tell people how to defeat Safety or Security Devices. It would be like telling the world how to steal a car. Call your local Ford Dealer and have the concern addressed.
