Where to put jack stands on 2004 ford explorer sport trac?

Asked by Dusty Oct 15, 2020 at 09:40 AM about the 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLS Crew Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After inspecting the under side of my truck, looks like there are only stock
jack points but are U shaped metal that will slip easily on jack stands...Is
there anywhere else I can put the stand?  I was also shocked to see the
caliper is two piece system, a cover and a bracket, the 2 bolts that hold the
bracket piece around the rotor I cannot move.  Would a breaker bar help? I
have used penetration lube and heat, and cant move them.

Take it to someone that knows what they are doing. Brakes are important and just maybe you lack the knowledge to repair them properly. No offense intended.

Completely agree! This is more of a hobby truck, intended for me to tinker with and learn on, no offense taken.
