I have a 2006 Fusion with the 4 cylinder, I
recently blew the motor at 177k miles and
was looking at the option of putting in the 3.0
V6 but didn’t know if it would fit

The 2006 Fusion came with a V6 as an option. You would need to replace the engine, wiring harness, ecm and transaxle and other parts to do the swap. I always recommend, purchasing the car you want vs outfitting the current vehicle with new parts. You will have more money into the custom car than selling your current one and buying another. If funds are tight, find a used 4 Cylinder engine to install. Even that will be a 2 to 3 grand if you don't do the work yourself.
