Had the recall for the ignition done on my moms 2003 Malibu. Now it won't turn all the way off and drains the battery. What's up with that?

Question type: Car Customization

Had the recall done on my moms 2003 Malibu. Car will no longer turn the key to the off position and stays on the aux and drains the battery. It did not do this before the recall fix. What did they do to it and can I have it fixed at no cost where  the recall was done?

Sorry, not sure what that recall was. was it to do with the ignition? if so take it back to the dealer and they will fix it. If not, it sounds like the mechanical portion of the switch itself is bad.
