Fuel Needle Not Working

Asked by Emily Mar 20, 2018 at 07:54 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Impala FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is an '03 Impala, 67,000 miles.  My fuel needle has always fluctuated
when on hills etc.  The needle would move back and forth so not super
accurate with fuel reading but lately the needle has just stopped working all
together.  Not noticing any gas leaks, how would this be repaired or what is
really going on?  Sorry not too good with cars, which is why I'm here.  Any
help would be appreciated.  Wasn't sure if this was a sign of an underlying
problem or not.  This car has been a nightmare since I purchased it a few
years ago.
