IS THERE A COMMON FAULT ON THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT CAN CAUSE THE IGNITION CIRCUIT TO CUT OUT INTERMITANTLEY WHEN DRIVING THE CAR?

There haven't been any reports of any continuous problems with the ignition circuit on your vehicle.

I have experienced similar cutting out of the engine intermittently while driving on my C220 - 94 model. How did you solve yours?

Yes...mine did this. It got so bad that I stalled-out on the freeway serveral times. I did a Mercedes Benz forums search on the internet. REPLACE THE K-40 Relay. THis fixes the problem. I don;t know what a K-40 Relay is, but Mercedes should know.
