Should i buy 1993 Mecedes 300sd

I need advice on whether or not to buy a 1993
Mercedes 300 SD.  The car appears in great
condition and has low miles. I read about the rod
bending issue with this engine. Does that happen
with every one of these engines? Are there any
other known issues with this model. Thanks
