I am looking at a 1988 Mercedes Benz and lady
said it slows down while driving what could be
wrong she say motor good I am also looking
because I have a 199130D Mercedes hoping to use
the body of car if possible please help.

That's not a lot to go on. Maybe start with a good tune up and clean sensors and throttle body, replace air filter, fuel filter, check some basic things like fuel pressure, especially the fuel distributor or the airflow sensor and housing.

Once you've done all the above, check your abs system it maybe be corroded
