2004 Cavalier turns over but won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife's car died on the road. Took it to a shop they said it was the fuel
pump. I replaced the fuel pump. The car turns over but won't start. I can hear
the pump initialize when I turn the key and I'm getting pressure out of the fuel
lines under the hood so I know I hooked it up correctly. Help please!

First check that you have spark. If you do then probably the Fuel Pressure Regulator is needing to be changed out.

Thank you for the response. I'll check the spark after work. If there is no spark what would be the next step?
