Why is my front end loose?

Whenever I go across any kind of
bump no matter how small, the front
end jerks around, BADLY. When I'm
on the freeway it has a "floating"
feeling to it, going left and right from
one side of the lane to the other. Also
I noticed when I'm coming to a stop,
it jerks to the right and sometimes
the left. I almost don't feel safe in my
own truck anymore. Please help!!

Almost?! Get that front suspension fixed ASAP- what if something comes apart while you're doin' 60 on the freeway?
If it floats, that's usually an indication that your front shocks or struts are toast. As far as the jerking left or right, I have had that problem in the past with my '89 Toyota 4x4. It was a seized up caliper. A bad brake booster under the hood will also cause the brakes to grab on one side. Have a mechanic you trust check the front end. Check the Toyota web site for recalls. You may get the work done for nothing! :)
Deffinetly struts and possibly springs ..... agree with above also
