How many gears does a 2004 4cylinder automatic have ?

Asked by Guru9XT9X3 May 09, 2021 at 05:30 PM about the 2004 Toyota Tacoma 2 Dr STD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can feel the first shift at around 30 mph but don’t feel any shift after that . It
runs at about 3500 rpm at 65 mph . Is that normal?

1 Answer

No that is not normal. Either you are stuck in a lower gear or the transmission is slipping.
