My manual shifting has become very hard to shift, especially when I try to put in in first gear from a stand still. And as well when shifting into the other 4 gears. I think I needr to replace the cluth but have no clue how to. Some have said it is hydrolic, please help!

Why is it so hard for me to shift gears? Especially from a stand still, shifting int first gear as well as the other 4. Some have told me it is hydrolic, is this true. If not would you please give me some help of how to adjust the clutch.

Dear scrodney-- Help is available in every town at a transmission specialist. Your problem with your 1998 Toyota Tacoma can be as simple as low fluid level or using the wrong fluid. Or, it could be a major transmission with the internal part of the transmaission itself. Let a pro look at it and try to avoid reacting on advice from some well meaning friend. Good luck from Bovan.
