Low RPM at start up

Asked by HSB1952 Oct 29, 2014 at 08:25 PM about the 1997 Toyota T100 2 Dr DX Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Typically when I start the engine it will rev up until it hits operating temp. Sometimes when I start the engine there is no rev at all. It starts and runs at sub idle until it warms
up. Is there a sensor that controls the RPMs at start up ?
