Tire size compatibility

Question type: General

I have an 05 equinox and my tire size is
235/65/r16 wanted to know if these tires will
fit there are two sets I’m looking at one size is
215/70/16 and the other is 215/65/16 the
wheel size is the same but the others are
different ???

I highly suggest looking on your drivers side door jam and see what the Manufacturer recommends. Failure to do this can result in transmission issues. The manual might list other sizes you can use but I stick with the size for front and rear on the door jam. I don’t need to be replacing transmissions.

AWD vehicles need the same tire size on all 4 corners. Do NOT put 2 different sized tires on this vehicle.
